In My Mailbox (19)

Hi everyone! It’s that time of the week again – IMM. In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by Kristi of The Story Siren. It aims to encourage bloggers to interact with one another and to explore the books received for review, bought, borrowed, won or gifted by bloggers.

So…it’s amazing that I’m still getting books. I stopped sending review requests more than a month ago. I got some books for review – some that I’m really excited to read – and I got some books from a sale at my local bookstore. (Again, sorry for the crappy picture.)

Books for Review:

When We Have Wings by Claire Corbett (ARC) – I’m ecstatic to get this! It’s around 400 pages and it’s about a world where people can fly. I’m not exactly sure what genre it is, but I’m thinking that it’s either fantasy or paranormal. Can’t wait to find out!

Andraste by Marisa Mills – this is about a half-elf and half-fairy girl. It’s quite intriguing.

Arms of an Angel by Linda Boulanger – I remember requesting this one after reading a really amazing review. It’s a contemporary, I think.

Caged in Darkness by JD Stroube (ebook) – I’ll be featuring the author here at Fragments of Life! So watch out for that.

Gifted:

Veiled by S.B. Niccum – Now I realize that this was the title that Linda told me about! I got it for review a few weeks ago. (Thank you Linda!)

Bought:

Tiger’s Quest by Colleen Houck – After reading Tiger’s Curse, I couldn’t miss the sequel!

Vesper by Jeff Sampson – I really, really wanted to read this since last year. But will my TBR and school, I couldn’t even buy books because I know I couldn’t read them right away. (But now I do – this month and the next few months to come are an exception.) I got 50% discount on Vesper.

Blood Red Road by Moira Young – one amazing review is enough for me to want to read this.

Linger by Maggie Stiefvater – Wolves of Mercy Falls is one of my most favorite series ever. I don’t know why I’ve just bought the sequel now! Maybe it’s because Forever is out? And I need to catch up?

From Netgalley/Simon & Schuster Galley Grab:

Past Perfect by Leila Sales
Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

I’m currently on ebook overload. I’ll stop requesting titles from Netgalley. (I really have to stop. I really, really, really have to.)

So! That’s all I got. What about you? What’s in your mailbox? Leave your link below and I’ll visit you when I wake up later (it’s now 1:45am here.)

  9. Ooh, Vesper looks great! Can't wait to see your thoughts on it. Oh, and I'm on the same boat as you with Netgalley. I need to stop requesting until I get caught up on the ones I have, but then I end up going on the site and seeing a bunch I want to read it. It's a neverending habit. Happy reading! :)

  15. Vesper is one that I still want to read as well. I totally understand the issues with books for review + books for school...not always time to read everything we want!
