In My Mailbox (10)

Hi everyone! It’s time for In My Mailbox again. In My Mailbox is a bookish meme hosted by Kristi of The Story Siren that aims to explore the bookshelves and mailboxes of bloggers to see what books they got for review, purchased, won or borrowed, and at the same time it encourages bloggers to interact with one another.

This week has been a very good week for me! I’ve been waiting for the parcels to arrive at my doorstep and finally they did!

For Review:

I was surprised on Tuesday when my mom called while I was in school. She informed me the mailman brought three packages for me - two of those which are books from Sourcebooks Fire and Kari Townsend, who sent me her book that was published by Sourcebooks Jabberwocky. After that, a few more followed.

Haunted (Dreaming Anastasia 2) by Joy Preble
The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher
Instructions for a Broken Heart by Kim Culbertson (ARC)

The Samantha Granger Experiment: Fused by Kari Lee Townsend – sent by Kari through the Book Depository. This one is MG and I’m excited to read it!

Pearl by Jo Knowles (ARC) – from Henry Holt. I was so surprised and happy when I got this!

Insight by Jamie Magee – this sounds really nice!

In the Storm by Karen Metcalf – I’ll be reading this for a blog tour in March! So watch out for that.

Sinful by Sara Dailey and Staci Weber (signed) – I am thrilled to get this one! Another angel-fallen angel book for enthusiasts out there! This is actually the full cover of the book – the front and the back.

In the Arms of Stone Angels by Jordan Dane – via Netgalley. This one made it in my most wanted list of 2011 books.

Borrowed:

Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma – borrowed from Anne R!

Won:

Torment by Lauren Kate (signed) – won from Louisse! Lauren Kate went here for a book signing. Louisse is one of the people who went there and got her books signed – one of which is the book I have now.

Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl – UK version, Paperback. I’ve read this sometime last year but I won it from a very generous person.

Bought:

Dreaming Anastasia by Joy Preble – I had to request that the bookstore get a copy from another branch. I need to read this before reading Haunted.

A Big Thank You to: Sourcebooks Fire, Paul Samuelson, Kim Culbertson, Henry Holt BYR, Kathryn Hurley, Sara Dailey and Staci Weber, Kari Lee Townsend, Louisse, Anne R., Jamie Magee, Karen Metcalf, Netgalley and David M.!

That’s what I got in my mailbox! What did you get? Please share your links!

  6. I absolutely loved Forbidden, it will move you and compel you to have screaming bouts of "NO Don't!". What an emotional roller coaster ride and I can't wait to hear what you think. Remember go in there expecting nothing and open your mind to the unconventional.

Congrats on your winnings too: Torment and B D.

I'm eyeing your Pearl and Haunted now. Going to investigate more on Goodreads.

    Enjoy the reads Precious.
